I am incredibly lucky to have incredibly wonderful and bold women in my life. I am even more lucky to have the chance to photograph them!

Adriana Becker and I have known each other since we were 5 years old. We started kindergarten classes together, and were classmates through the fifth grade. Our elementary school girl group slowly dispersed to various schools across Orange County, but we stayed in frequent contact and this amazing group of girls have remained some of my best friends.

Now, just short of 20 years later, Adriana is a licensed esthetician and small business founder, operating her own lash studio in Newport Beach, CA. Getting a spot with Adriana is competitive– she is so in demand that she can rarely take on new clients! She shares her studio with fellow esthetician Karren Adams (Skincare by Karren). 

Not only has Adriana invited me to photograph her at work in her studio, but she has supported me as I have grown my own photography business out of San Francisco. Starting a small business is scary, and having support and guidance from a lifelong friend makes the journey a bit less intimidating.
